ISB STATUS =  FUTURE.   The ADL SCORM reference model uses existing specifications to standardize the interface between web based content and web based learning technology systems such as learning management systems (LMSs), also known as virtual learning environments (VLEs). The SCORM is not in itself a specification or standard. Instead, it profiles a number of IEEE and IMS standards and specifications, including the IEEE LOM and IMS Content Packaging.
