Standards Profile

ISB STATUS =  FUTURE.   The Joint Academic Coding System (JACS2) provides for all subjects to be coded according to a common, truly hierarchical, four-character subject code. JACS2 will be used substantially in subject representation across the sector, including for provision of quality assurance information.Work is underway to define JACS3.

Standards development and/or approval of this standard has not been prioritised as part of the 2009-10 Delivery Plan
