ISB STATUS = FUTURE. The ESCS elements of the IPSV vocabularies
The scope of this work is to integrate the important vocabularies developed by the ESCS businesses into the existing Integrated Public Sector Vocabulary (IPSV). The full scope of this work and specifically the vocabularies to be included in IPSV is yet to be defined.
When users look for information or try to navigate around and information store such as a web site, it will be important that the search terms they are likely to use will lead them to the information they want. Schemes of keywords (tags) are essential. The Cabinet Office GovTalk contains a government-wide set of terms for use in public-facing public sector web sites called The Integrated Public Sector Vocabulary (IPSV). In technical terms, it is an 'encoding scheme' for populating the e-GMS Subject element of metadata.
